Frequently asked questions

What do I need to do for the case study?

You now need to send us a case study showing your application from natural nail prep to application.

Please note, case studies need to be submitted using HONA products and these need to be shown in the case studies. Failure to use HONA products will mean we won’t be able to accept your case studies and pass your qualification.

Please also make sure your application is in clear view throughout the video, if the video is unclear you may be asked to submit a new video.

Your video will need to clearly show the natural nail prep and application of product on 5 nails.

You will also need to evidence a safe removal on one nail.

Your video will need to include a top down view and side profile view of the final set of nails, once completed.

Once this has been sent, an educator will review your video, give feedback and provide you with your accredited qualification.

We aim to give feedback as soon as possible but please allow up to seven working days for our educator to review your case study.

Do I need a HONA Lamp to complete the course?

We recommend using a HONA cordless cube lamp or an approved lamp - all cure times are based on approved and tested lamps, we cannot guarantee a safe and thorough cure in a non-approved lamp.

Do you run in-person training?

While our online courses offer a convenient and accessible way to learn, we strongly recommend in-person training wherever possible. In-person courses provide hands-on guidance and direct feedback from our educators, ensuring you get the most out of your training. For those unable to attend in-person, our online courses are a fantastic way to start your journey with HONA and access our professional-only range.

Are the quizzes in the courses graded?

Throughout the courses you will be asked to take multiple self-assessments. These are short quizzes. The consist of multiple choice questions, drag and drop questions and more.

These short quizzes are not graded and there is no minimum score to achieve. The knowledge tests in the course are self-assessments so they don't have a minimum grade. They are there for you to test your own knowledge before moving to the next section. You can retake these as many times as you like.

The only part of the course that is graded - where you can pass or fail, is your case study at the end. (But you will be able to resubmit your case study if it doesn't pass first time).

Is there an audiobook feature?

All of our written e-book content has voiceover recordings available for those who prefer to listen than read. Simply find the play button at the top of each section. (See image below)
