Glazed Donut

The Glazed Donut trend has evolved from early 2000's beauty trends, where pearlescent nails and frosted lips were first popularised. This look has since been refined into a more minimal, modern finish focusing on soft tones and high shine surfaces. Interestingly, this also ties in with glazed and glass skin trends where dewy hydration is heavily sought after. 

Although clear chrome powders have existed and been used within the industry for many years, the 'Glazed Donut' trend was brought to the mainstream in 2022 by Hailey Bieber at the Met Gala. Since then, the trend has shown no signs of slowing down and has since evolved into something far bigger than its original moment, moving on from milky pink bases paired with a soft 'wet look' finishes, to more experimental pops of colour.

At HONA we still can't resist a subtle base, but we aren't too shy to throw in a pop of colour from time to time.
